In this simulation of the Council of the European Union, participants will assume the roles of ministers from EU member states, and discuss a key issue on the EU agenda, “Strengthening Mechanisms and Partnerships to Mitigate Migration Waves”.

Participants will have the opportunity to propose motions to explore different aspects of the agenda item, deliver speeches defending their governments’ stances, and contribute to a draft policy document based on the decisions made by the Council.

Before the simulation, all participants will receive a study guide and a manual explaining the simulation’s procedure.

The simulation, which will be held fully in English, is free of charge, thanks to the MEDIATE Jean Monnet Module project. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
